The Department of Justice and Human Rights has officially determined that:
1. The Free Visa Facility (length of stay max. 30 days) will be issued to citizens of the following countries (11 countries): Brunei, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macao, Morocco, Chile, Peru. Those holding valid passports from those countries will be granted a non-extendable 30-day Visa-Free Short Visit Permit upon arrival at an Indonesian international gateway without charge.
2. The Visa-on-Arrival Facility (length of stay max. 30 days) will be issued to citizens of the following countries (63 countries): Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgia, Brazil, British, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, Czech Republic, China (PRC), Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Laos, Latvia, Libya, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Maldives, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherland, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan (regional), Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, United States of America.
The visa fees is US$10.00 for up to 7 days stay and US$25.00 for up to 30 days stay in Indonesia.
The official entry requirements for the issuance of a 30 or 7 days day visa-on arrival : 1. Passport must be from one of the countries listed above. 2. Passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 (six) months from the date of entry into Indonesia. 3. Payment of US$10 or US$25 must be paid at the gateway, depending on the length of visa required. 4. Onward or return tickets are compulsory. 5. Visitors must enter and exit through one of the 15 airports or 21 seaports officially approved as an “international gatewayâ€Â? by the Indonesian Immigration department.
3. Citizens of countries not stated above are required to apply for a visa at the Indonesian Embassy/Consulate in their country of domicile. Approved visitor visa applications normally will be ready for collection on 2 working days days after date of submission to the visa office. But this is different for every country that may span around 2 to 10 working days.
