Operations research (OR) is critical in providing scientific evidence for health and disease control programs to improve their quality and “learning” as they scale up. The WHO recommends OR as part the global TB control strategies to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Many resources have been pooled and allocated, especially through Global Fund. However, there are needs to improve the capacity in conducting OR and to practice the OR in systematic and standardize way.
